The Institute for Cultural Research is a UK-registered educational charity which aims to stimulate study, debate, education and research into all aspects of human thought, behaviour and culture.
It holds regular lectures and seminars, publishes books and papers and supports projects in parts of the world where education and the free flow of ideas are under threat. All its activities are available to the public.

| March 2009 Seminar The Power of Stories, our 2009 seminar, attracted over 270 people to central London on the weekend of 28 and 29 March for a series of lectures and debates on stories and storytelling. Speakers included Professor Marina Warner, novelist Iain Sinclair, anthropologists Dr Vieda Skultans and Dr Cecil Helman, travel writer Tahir Shah, Orientalist Robert Irwin and storytellers Chris Smith and Ramsay Wood. The literary blog-site Bookfreeq gave us a glowing review. |
