Do other animal species have human-like emotions?
Professor Keith Kendrick
Professor Keith Kendrick is Gresham College Professor of Physic at The Babraham Institute, Cambridge. In his long and distinguished career, he has held posts at the Universities of Durham and Cambridge and has published almost two hundred papers and reviews.
In this talk he will discuss the wide-ranging expressions of emotion available to human beings (love, joy, hate, sorrow, fear, jealousy, disgust, envy and shame) and will ask if other animal species are able to experience any of these. If so, is the nature of their experience qualitatively or quantitatively similar to our own?
