Steven Mithen
Steven Mithen is Professor of Archaeology and Head of the School of Human
and Environmental Sciences at Reading University.
In his fieldwork he has focussed on the late Pleistocene and Holocene hunter-gatherers.
His books include The Prehistory of Mind (1996/1998) and Creativity in Human Evolution and Prehistory (1998).
At this seminar, he will be talking about the evolutionary advantages and disadvantages of group membership.
